Welcome to this site that will double as my Author Platform and a place for everyone to exchange ideas without being limited to 160 characters. My idea is to write reviews on books, write short stories and do an interview from time to time. Your part will be to chip in your 2 cents. Tell me what you like or don’t like (keep it civil) give me your take on my reviews or just tell me about a book you just could not put down . . . and why.

Accepting this will give you peace of mind…

No matter what you do, or what you create, there will always be someone who doesn’t like it.

  1. I read your ‘About’ page and recognise certain similarities between your and my writing experiences. I was a hard and diligent worker in the world when one morning I woke up with a driving imperative in my mind that I should begin to write. Where the impulse came from, I have no idea, but since then I have become a writer. Like yourself, I am not finding it an easy road to follow, but satisfying beyond belief. I have e-published one book in the ‘space opera’ genre and another will be uploaded to Smashwords and Kindle within the next two weeks.
I am finding the process of marketing my own book fascinating but I am not good at it. I need to take it more seriously and do more.
I see we both use WordPress, but did you write the ‘legal’ pages yourself? They are impressive.
I wish you all the best with this website. I will be back.

    1. I agree that going the self-pub route is fraught with pitfalls but with diligence and an open mind it can be handled. The writing bug struck me later in life as I really wanted to be an illustrator. Lots of research and one how-to book after another I am learning I was a babe in the woods. Since I am retired now, living in Daytona Beach, Florida I have ample time to pursue both writing and art.
The legal pages are a generic form that I got from someplace I cannot remember. Plugins on WordPress do have some sort of legal pages. They just give you some measure to fall back on incase there is some dispute . . . and they look like you know what you are talking about. Take care.
